Years later, Elinor, who has since given birth to identical triplet boys, attempts to teach Merida in the ways of the court. Fergus fights off the bear to give Elinor and Merida a chance to escape, at the cost of his left leg. During their outing, a giant bear named Mor'du attacks the family. The storyline begins in the Scottish kingdom of DunBroch, with King Fergus presenting his young daughter, Merida, with a bow and arrow for her birthday, to the discomfort of Princess Merida's mother, Queen Elinor. However, troubles arise when Queen Elinor succumbs to a beastly curse and transform into a black bear. However, she ends up getting more than she bargained for. When Queen Elinor tells her sixteen-year-old daughter that she must marry one of the Lords' sons, a desperate Princess Merida visits a Witch who gives her a spell that will change Queen Elinor's mind. SO GUESS WHAT?!?!?!? we had just bought annual passes and were on our first trip for the year in January when we got a call from House Hunters on Vacation- we were cast for a special episode that incorporates this fabulous new Disney-Pixar movie!!!! We got to see where the team went for inspiration in Scotland- where Merida met the bear, etc!!! We were also very fortunate to tour Pixar and see the storyboards all the way to the finish… (I didn’t peek- I want to be surprised how it ends!!) AND- we got to see some sneak peak clips of the animated movie- HOW AWESOME!!
